Statement From Fair Share America On The No-Good Continuing Resolution
March 12, 2025
"House Republicans just passed a bill that gives Elon Musk free rein and rich people who cheat on their taxes a free pass."
CHICAGO - Fair Share America executive director Kristen Crowell shares a statement on last night's continuing resolution vote in the U.S. House of Representatives. Fair Share America is working with organizers across the country to hold town hall meetings during next week's congressional recess where constituents can make their voices heard.
"House Republicans just passed a bill that gives Elon Musk free rein and rich people who cheat on their taxes a free pass," said Fair Share America executive director Kristen Crowell. "They are giving away the store and ensuring it’s too expensive for us to shop in. But people know what’s happening and they don’t approve. We expect tremendous turnout during the congressional recess next week as people show up to say ‘enough is enough.’"
