Join Us: DC Fly-In April 9-10
Join tax justice advocates and constituents from across the country in Washington, D.C., April 9th through 10th, to tell our members of Congress to oppose taking away what millions of working people need—health care, education, food assistance, child care, and so much more—in order to pay for more tax breaks for billionaires and big corporations.
Momentum is growing all over the country as Trump, Musk, and congressional leadership try to ram through tax breaks for the rich—now it’s time we take this fight to the steps of the Capitol. Your voice is critical to ensure that Members of Congress know that we are watching and we won’t stand for it!
In between meetings with your members of Congress, join us at Upper Senate Park next to the Capitol building on Thursday, April 10th, to bring our voices together at the Rally to Say NO to Tax Breaks for Billionaires & Corporations.
Making taxes fair isn’t just a tax fight -- this fight represents a key choice in the direction of our country. Are we a nation that prioritizes lining the pockets of billionaires and big corporations or are we a nation that ensures everyday working Americans get ahead?

Answers to Key Questions:
What’s happening on April 9th vs the 10th?
Wednesday April 9th is primarily a travel day, however there will be opportunities to join actions and events starting around 5pmET that evening. Thursday April 10th will be the major day—meeting with your members of Congress and joining the FSA rally. The day will start at roughly 9amET and go until 4:30pm, although your start and end timing will depend on when your first and last meetings are with your members of Congress.
We are working on finalizing the start time for the rally, but we believe it will start around 12pmET in front of the Capitol building.
Where is it?
Everything will most likely be on or near Capitol Hill. As we get closer to the date, we will send out exact times and meeting locations for all events.
Who is the fly-in geared toward? What type of people should participate?
Constituents and advocates—people who are working and leading on tax fairness at the local and state level. Examples include:
Everyday Americans impacted by Congress’s cuts to health care, education, child care, etc, willing to share their stories
State advocates fighting for tax fairness, access to quality health care, child care, education, housing, etc.
Labor leaders or members
Local and state elected officials
Small business owners
If helpful, here’s a template recruitment email to encourage folks to join us!
Will there be any training ahead of the Fly-In? What are we asking/telling our members of Congress when we meet with them?
Yes! Click below and sign up for one of our virtual trainings:
How do I know who else is coming from my state?
Each state will have a lead state partner organization and designated “state captain” leading coordination efforts for your state, including tracking recruitment, outreach to Members of Congress, etc. If you don’t know who your captain is, email info@fairshareusa.org, and we will point you in the right direction!
Where should I stay in DC?
We are working on reserving several hotel blocks in DC as close to the Capitol as possible. Rooms in the hotel blocks will also be coordinated via your state captain.
