Week of Action: March 15 - 23
With both the Senate and House home for recess (when lawmakers respond to local constituent concerns), and as the administration and many members of Congress continue to relentlessly threaten to take away our most essential public programs and services, we have a chance to act!
From Medicaid, to SNAP, housing, public education, child care, and more, we will ALL lose out and have to pay for more tax breaks for billionaires and corporations. The week of March 15-23 is a key time to show a groundswell of opposition to this agenda across the country.
We must continue to fight back 🏃🏻♀️🦶.
Our members of Congress—who “represent” us— don’t have to go along with this scam. They have a clear choice: Will they stand with everyday Americans and say no to more tax cuts for billionaires and corporations?
We must ask members of Congress while they’re at home for recess March 15th - 23rd. Show up, be seen, and be heard during this week of action!
Host a ‘Whose Side Are You On’ Townhall
With your leadership, we can co-host townhall events across the country to amplify the voices of constituents calling on their members of Congress to side with the working people, over billionaires and corporations.
Goals: Invite your member of Congress and Senate to speak at your town hall to answer the question of whether they’re on the side of working people or billionaires! In addition to getting your members of Congress on the record, you’re able to bring more advocates and constituents into the fight to make billionaires pay their fair share, amplify the voices of people impacted, and enable supporters to take action right then and there, in April, and beyond.
